The Theory of Nanophotonics Group at the Center of Materials Physics addresses the optical response of nanoscale systems. The group has experience in theoretical modeling in different topics as: metallic nanoantennas, quantum plasmonics, acousto-plasmonics, dielectric nanoantennas, field enhanced spectroscopy and microscopy, near field microscopy, plasmon excitation by fast electron probes, photon emission in STM configurations, optical properties of semiconductor quantum dots. We do not have any specific open position at the moment, but we are always looking for strong PhD and Postdoc candidates in the field of nanophotonics.

We would like to acknowledge the following projects:

Project “Plasmogap” (FIS2013-41184-P) of the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO).

Project Etortek IE14-393  Nanogune’14 of the Department of Industry of the Basque Government.
