Subject: workshop Antoine Salin




   Dear all,

   We thank you very much for the warm response that you provide to the 
idea of organizing a workshop in honor of Antoine Salin. We are now in the 
process of ellaborating the scientific program. There will probably be 
enough time for everyone interested in giving an oral presentation to do 
so. For this reason, we kindly ask all of you who are interested in giving 
a talk to send us a title and a short abstract before the end of June. 
Time for talks will be 20 minutes plus 10 minutes of discussion. We 
encourage the presentation of new results and/or works recently developed, 
even if they are not totally completed.

   Information on travel and hotels will be sent to you in approximately 
two weeks. Nevertheless, if you would like to start organizing your trip, 
please notice that the nearest airports to San Sebastian are San Sebastian 
airport (national flights via Madrid and Barcelona and 20 km from the city 
centre), Biarritz Airport (France, and 50 minutes driving from San 
Sebastian) and Bilbao Airport (100 km from San Sebastian). Train is also a 
valid option.

  Practical information on the workshop follows:
      - Date: 24th to 26th October 2005
      - Place: Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC)

      - Title:
        'Recent advances on the dynamics of atomic and
         molecular particles interacting with gas and solid targets'.

   The DIPC will be able to provide some finantial support for travel expenses. 
Please, let us know in your response to this email whether you are interested 
in such support. Participants traveling from outside Europe will be privileged 
in the distribution of funds.

   Finally, let us mention that Antoine Salin is already aware of the existence 
of this meeting. No need to keep it as a surprise anymore!
