Curriculum Vitae of Ivo Souza

Ivo Souza received his Licenciatura in Engineering Physics from the Universidade Técnica de Lisboa in 1995 and his PhD in Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2000. He spent three years as a postdoctoral fellow at Rutgers University before joining the faculty of the Physics Department at the University of California Berkeley in 2004 as an Assistant Professor. In January of 2011 he joined the Centro de Física de Materiales on the San Sebastián campus of the University of the Basque Country, as an Ikerbasque Research Professor. Ivo Souza is the winner of 2004 George E. Valley Jr. prize of the American Physical Society (APS), and in 2019 he was elected Fellow of the APS.
