Biography
Dr. David Novoa is an Ikerbasque Research Associate Professor at the University of the Basque Country (EHU).
He holds a PhD in Physics awarded jointly by the three universities of Galicia and spent several years abroad as a postdoctoral researcher and W2 Research Professor at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light in Germany.
He currently leads the EFO-Lab at EHU, where his research focuses on microstructured optical fibres and their applications in areas including nonlinear photonics and quantum technologies.
He is also co-supervisor of the Quantum Literacy Lab of the BIQAIN initiative within BasQ and mentor of the OPTICA Student Chapter FOTONEKIN.
