Last 4 April 2023 Antonella Meninno successfully defended her thesis entitled “Ab initio study of hydrogen based superconducting compounds at ambient pressure”.
Throughout her PhD thesis Antonella has studied some potential hydrogen-based candidates for high temperature superconductivity at ambient pressure through first-principles simulations. As she explained, she has focused her study on palladium hydride and hydrogen boride, together with a benzene chain named nonacene. All in all, Antonella’s thesis is a contribution to understanding the role of hydrogen in superconductivity.
Antonella exposed all the corresponding details in a great presentation, and then she maintained an interesting discussion with the members of the committee, formed by Gianni Profeta, Claudio Cazorla and Maite Alducin.
Finally, Antonella’s family, colleagues and committee members all enjoyed a tasty meal at Abakando restaurant.
Antonella has now taken the leap to the business world as far as she is working in Comadera as head of the software department.
Her thesis can be found in this link.
Zorionak Dr. Meninno! Good luck and see you around!
