reaction

Rubber compounds normally used in the tire industry are multiphase composites obtained by mixing elastomeric matrices based on natural or synthetic rubbers, with fillers, stabilizers, vulcanization additives, and other special ingredients. The result is a very complex system whose final properties depend on the interactions among those ingredients. This PhD thesis tries to gain a better understanding of the dynamics of the polymers as well as the interactions between polymer and additives, which is of utmost importance to improve the design of materials with desired properties.
